Privacy Policy

All my Websites (e.g. crazyroostereye.de and crzy.gay) collect data from you. As does any Website on the Internet.
In this Policy I am going to tell you Why I collect that Data, What I can do with it and How you Avoid it the best.

Mandatory Collection

This is Data that is sent to me Always and cannot be avoided. These Are Essential for the Functioning of the Website and Internet as whole.

IP Address

WHY: This is required to send back anything you request from the Website. Without it the Server wouldn't know where to send the Website to.
WHAT: With the IP Address I can deduce your Approximate Location, depending on your ISP (Internet Service Provider) from down to the City/Town or as broad as the State or only Country. The Reason is, that IP Addresses are Geo-tagged, meaning associated with a region, by your ISP. This is standard Practice and is used to Block certain Regions from accessing Websites, on the Website owners discretion.
HOW TO AVOID: You can't outright prevent presenting me an IP Address, but you can use Services like VPNs or Proxies to present me the IP of those Services instead. But be aware they will be capable of seeing your IP in turn.

User Agent

WHY: It's a Standard Function of the Internet. Every Browser sends a User-Agent.
WHAT: The User Agent is a string that Represents what you are connecting with and what it can do. For example this is my common User-Agent Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:146.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/146.0. With it, I can deduce that I am using Firefox version 146.0 using a Linux Machine with an x86_64 Processor using the X11 Display Server. So essentially I can see what OS, Browser and System/Processor your running. It is also used to Identify a Bot Crawlers, for example the Google Search Crawlers have commonly the User-Agent Mozilla/5.0 AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko; compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html) Chrome/W.X.Y.Z Safari/537.36
HOW TO AVOID: Most Browsers allow you to change the User-Agent to anything you want. It is in generally recommended changing it into a Common User-Agent for example that of Windows Chrome Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/139.0.0.0 Safari/537.53

URL / URI

WHY: Needed to Identify the specific page you want to visit (e.g. https://crazyroostereye.de/priv).
WHAT: With this I can see what Pages you have Visited.
HOW TO AVOID There isn't really a way to avoid telling me this Info or obfuscating it. The Server needs to know what you want to see.

Hoster

My Servers are Hosted in a VPS (Virtual Private Server) by Hetzner GmbH, meaning all Data send to me passes through them. When connecting to the Server via HTTPS, the recommend way of accessing my Website, Hetzner should only be able to see the User-Agent and IP-Address not the URI you're trying to reach. But for the sake of Transparency here is their Privacy Policy.

Linked Content

On my Website I have content Linked to other Websites. For Example but not limited to Badges, Images and Webrings. This means that those Websites also will get Information listed in Mandatory Collection, plus the Info that you are coming from my Website. They have different Practices of collecting Data and their own Privacy Policies. To know from whom I am pulling open the Developers Tool and go to the Network tab and Reload the Page. There should be a list of all content Pulled from Local and Remote sources.

Storage

All the Data Collected in Mandatory Collection will be processed and saved in Aggregated form. Meaning I disassociated the Data points from each other and Store the Sum of all Visits. For Example a Visit from the US on Linux using Firefox will be split into The data points US, Linux and Firefox and aggregated with all other Visits of the Same Type. Which has the end result that I only know how many People visited me from that Type. But I can't recombine that Data into a single Individual Visit.
The Individual Visit Data, meaning the Combined Info I get from you Visiting my Page, will be kept for Up to 90 Days on which it will be deleted at the Latest.
Besides that the Server and I are based in Germany, means that all Data is subject to relevant Laws including the GDPR/DSGVO.
